So… this is a little embarrassing. You caught me. I haven’t published any romance books. Yet.
(If you’re looking for my journals, you can find those on my Journals page.)
Hold on! Don’t click away!
As for those romance books I keep promising… I’m hard at work writing the first book in what I’m calling the Harmony Springs novels. Harmony Springs is a small town in southwest Colorado that I totally made up. I’m an author. It’s what I do. (If you would like to see my inspiration for the town, you can visit my Pinterest Board.) And because my author license (that’s definitely probably a thing) says I can make things up all willy-nilly like, I decided Harmony Springs would be a “sleeper” community for the ski resorts in that area. That means during the offseason, the good residents of Harmony Springs have entirely too much time on their hands! What, oh, what will they do to keep from getting bored??
Book one is currently titled Only with You starring wrongfully accused ex-con, Cole Fitzpatrick, and new Colorado implant, Livy Jennings. Here’s a quick snippet of what’s going on.
After Livy’s fiancé runs off with her money – money for her deaf sister’s schooling – she moves to Harmony Springs to put things right again for her sister. Livy has a plan. And this one is big. Capital P Plan. Move out of her tiny closet sized New York apartment (check), bring her sister home for the summer (check), get a job, save every penny she makes, pay the tuition bill, save the day. What could go wrong? Enter Cole Fitzpatrick, the elusive local barista who is as sexy as his coffee is strong. Livy’s Plan can’t afford a distraction like Cole. Too bad no one told her heart.
Following Only with You, I have several more books planned in this series, including Where I Belong, which features the bright and beautiful Molly Sanders, a genius computer geek with a passion for animal rescue, and her hunky new neighbor, former all-pro baseball player, Jason Fisher. When these two meet, dog (and goat) hijinks ensue and sparks fly.
I’ve got loads of other books planned for this series (6 and counting!), including a novella that, rumor has it, I might make free to my newsletter subscribers (which you can join by clicking the big purple banner at the top).
So check back often. Seriously, someone needs to keep me on track because adulting is hard and giving in to the demands of my lap cat is easy.
Seriously… How does anyone say NO to this??!
